Refund Policy

Thank you for choosing JQ Events for your event planning and management needs. We understand that sometimes plans change. This Refund Policy outlines our terms for cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling of services.

1. Deposits and Booking Fees

All bookings require a non-refundable deposit of $500, due at the time of signing the service agreement or confirming your event. This deposit secures your event date and covers administrative and initial planning costs.

This deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.

2. Cancellation by Client

If you choose to cancel your event, the following refund terms apply based on notice given:

More than 60 days before the event: Refund of any payments made, minus the deposit and any non-recoverable third-party costs.
31–60 days before the event: 50% refund of the total fee, minus the deposit and third-party costs.
30 days or less before the event: No refund will be issued.

3. Cancellation by Company

If we are forced to cancel your event due to unforeseen circumstances (excluding client breach), we will offer:

A full refund including the deposit, or
A credit toward rescheduling your event within 12 months, based on availability.

4. Rescheduling

You may request to reschedule your event up to 30 days before the original date without penalty, subject to availability.
Rescheduling within 30 days may incur additional fees, depending on vendor policies and labor commitments.

5. Third-Party Vendors

Refunds for services involving third-party vendors (e.g., catering, rentals, entertainment) will follow the refund and cancellation terms of those vendors. We will facilitate communication but are not liable for any vendor-specific policies.

6. Force Majeure

In case of events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, acts of government), refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We will make every reasonable effort to reschedule or find alternatives.
